The challenge.

In November 2001, the internationally renowned Canadian architect John David Krause cut the first sod on the second 18-hole course of the Hardenberg GolfResort. The first nine holes of the new international standard championship course have been playable since 6 June 2003 – a fascinating golf experience and a challenge for beginners and pros. The remaining nine holes of the Niedersachsen Course were opened in early June 2004.

The highlight of the Niedersachsen Course is the heraldic animal of the Hardenbergs – the boar's head as par 3 island green. The many natural obstacles provide the special attractiveness and challenge of the course. Players will find, among other features, a dry habitat, a canyon of the type hardly known outside Arizona, orchards, ancient trees and much more. The lush grass retains a dark green colour thanks to a special lawn seed which is currently only used in six golf clubs in Germany. The lanes have very creative designs and offer an attractive dramaturgy.
